Jerez is a culinary experience with a lively gastronomic scene influenced by the long history and cultural traditions of the region. Local specialities include tapas, seafood and meat dishes from fresh local ingredients. The local sherry is definitely part of the gastronomic experience.

See which restaurants and bars in this gastronomic gem are worth exploring!

The Alboronía restaurant offers a modern twist on traditional Spanish dishes and fuses them with cuisines from all around the world. With friendly staff and a warm and welcoming atmosphere, everyone can enjoy a meal here. Marinated ribs with pumpkin cream, sea bass with curry cream or something vegetarian?

If you are looking for a unique and unforgettable dining experience in Jerez, look no further than Restaurante Mantúa. This stylish restaurant offers flavours of the whole of Andalusia. Instead of the traditional selection, you can choose from two tasting menus. The restaurant has been awarded a Michelin star, and that's something.

Restaurant Venta El Albero offers delicious traditional dishes made with fresh, quality ingredients perfectly prepared. Not only is the food excellent, but also the service.

In a back alley, you'll find Bar Juanito. You have come to the right place if you are looking for a nice, typical Spanish restaurant. Sitting on the terrace, friendly service, great food and, of course, a glass of sherry at the end.

Tapas that are definitely worth trying can be found at the Atuvera bar—a glass of wine and typical tapas in a new way, colourful and full of flavour. Your first visit will certainly not be your last; we guarantee it.

Where for a drink?

If you're looking for a truly authentic Spanish experience, you will go right with a visit to Tabanco Plateros. This small bar is full of traditional Spanish flair and is the perfect place to enjoy tapas and a glass of sherry. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or a sherry lover, you will find something you like. The service is knowledgeable and helpful; if you need help with what to order, they can make great recommendations.

One of the most charming places in Jerez is the bar Las Cuadras where you can enjoy a drink or a light meal. Tucked away in the corner of the beautiful Plaza de la Ascunción, this place is decorated with old farming tools. On top of that, it offers fantastic food and regular live flamenco performances.

You may want to be reminded of something other than the London Underground when you're exploring historic Jerez, but Bar Green Park is well worth it. A great place for late-night "copas", as the Spaniards call spirits and mixed drinks. Green Park is located on the street teeming with locals and tourists on weekends—a great place to end the evening.
